Swell’s coming, small early

Hello Friends,
Only a metre of ESE swell showing as Saturday got started, but that should change. Dee Why was smooth with light offshores and wave faces in the knee to waist plus range as of 0645. Period is around the 12 second mark and there’s some east in the mix, so it wouldn’t surprise me if there were a few spots showing more than that. Our big issue today is going to be timing of an uptick in swell energy with an expected south change in the afternoon.

Outlook is for the swell to steadily increase over the next 24 hours. Right now it looks as though we might not see much quality today because the wind’s set to swing south at about the time the first south swell arrives.
As the Goat said in his forecast, we’re looking at very straight south swell for this pulse, but if the models have it right, size at magnet spots tomorrow and Monday could potentially hit double overhead on wave faces. And the Bureau tells us the wind will be light and variable tomorrow and offshore Monday early, but going NE in the arvo.
Try and get some of this pulse if you can, because right now the models are saying it’ll all go quiet again from early Tuesday.
I plan to be on it with the camera, so wave hi if you see me and remember, I’m shooting you regular surfers. The hot shots already have all the pictures they could ever want!
Have a good one everybody.
