The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Friday 31 July 2015: Eight day outlook for Sydney:

August tomorrow, which experience suggests means mostly westerlies, which bring small to flat but offshore conditions and the occasional wave for long boarders and SUPs at the right tide right place.  A bonus is clear, but cooling down, water.  Then after the westerlies have pushed hard across the Southern Ocean the swell can either hug the coast refracting around from Vic and turn up the NSW coast and we can either get some dead south swell, or depending on the swell direction down there it could head out into the Tasman rather than hugging the coast.  You’ll just have to be aware, stay alert and keep your eyes open!  Seems to me that’s increasingly good advice for all surfers these days anyway….

So~~

Saturday: let’s say 1 metre or less or flat

Sunday: ditto

Monday: ditto for most of the day, then something starting to show at dead south spots

Tuesday: coming up at places that like dead South swell say though the 1-2 metre range …2 + metres

Wednesday: down a little in the 1-2 metre range dead South

Thursday: down a little more 1-2 metre range dead South places

Friday: coming up again from way down South… 1-2 metre range…2 + metres dead South

Saturday: dittoish.

Stay alert… catch waves when you can… learn first aid (train at your local surf club) …stay safe… Have fun!!

If you’re indoors – something to keep you amused…I like this pretty cool wind map>>>
