Waves at the magnets early

Hello Friends,

Hooray! Still some swell for the early. Surface conditions somewhat choppy given the early NW breeze. The MHL buoy was showing 1.8 metres of 9-second SE swell. There were little things right at the top of North Narrabeen, but nothing down the beach from there until you got to (maybe) Makaha. Dontals looked to have the odd set, but Butterbox was slumbering. Longy bombies not doing much, but heaps of shoulder-ish straighthanders with the very occasional section from about the watchtower south to the Pole, and then nothin’ much at all for the point.

Next tide is the high at 0845.

The Bureau says we can expect the wind to settle into the south and be 15-20 kts, turning SE late in the evening. Tomorrow it’s supposed to be variable (ie late morning onshores) but the swell is expected to fade into the marginal range. I’d be expecting knee to waist at south magnets. Monday looks like cogging down another notch before south pulse fills in overnight for Tuesday-Wednesday.

Have yourself a great Saturday and good luck to all the folks undertaking the 40 Hour Famine today.
