Up for an early Dad’s taxi run and found myself at Dee Why right on 0700. Wind was cool and coming from the south at 10-15 kts. As the pictures show, it was very choppy and messy. Worse, the swell has dropped away to almost nothing. Throw in a high tide at 0940 and you’re talking conditions only really approachable with a very keen attitude – and a SUP, rescue board or a kayak.
Outlook, according to the models, is not good for surfin’ until maybe Saturday when some of the projections are saying we might get a one day wonder swell from the south as some small but long period energy arrives.
