This morning a little front blew through Santa Barbara. It rained briefly, and then departed, leaving blasting post-frontal N-NW winds in its wake. By the time I got to Rincon, the conditions were very messy and, being a Sunday here, it was also somewhat busy in the water. Waves, as you can see from the pics below, were messy and extremely sectiony thanks to the surface chop and fairly short-period underlying swell. The wind is set to howl for the next day or so before backing off to the usual light conditions one gets this time of year when southern California is between fronts or storms.
Have a great Monday and I’ll try to find another postcard for you tomorrow.
