Murky skies and minimal waves for Tuesday morning

Hello Friends,

Morning fog making the Northern beaches a dull scene, but worse, the wave activity has been reduced to little more than a faint easterly ripple. Tide is heading in to a high at 1140 – not that it matters all that much.
We’re in for a steamy day says the Bureau, so it’d have been nice to have a wave Huey. Grumble.
This morning’s batch of swell modelling doesn’t offer much of interest for the couple of days. It looks as though there might possibly be some NE wind swell at magnet spots on Thursday afternoon. But the prediction is not universal across the various models. Weekend prospects for more and bigger NE wind swell look a little more hopeful, particularly for Sunday afternoon. It ain’t much, but at least it’s something.
Have yourself a great Tuesday and keep on smilin’!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the central Tasman Sea extends a ridge to southeast Queensland while a broad, slow-moving trough lies over NSW. The high is expected to weaken over the next couple of days as the trough deepens and moves over the coast. Generally moderate east to northeast winds are expected for today, though fresh winds are expected over Hunter and Mid-North Coast waters. During Wednesday winds are likely to tend southeasterly over southern and central parts of the coast and become fresh to possibly strong over central waters with the deepening of the trough. Winds should tend back to the northeast during Thursday as a new high moves into the southern Tasman Sea and gradually extends a ridge over NSW.
