Micro and fat at Dee Why early

Hello Friends,

Sunny skies promising a warm one as the day got started. Wind was light from the north and swell was about a metre from the east with an average period of 6 seconds. Tide was high at 0705.
I couldn’t see anyone in the water when I checked things for the first time at about 0645. As the picture shows there was no obvious reason why you’d paddle out at the point or the beach. It’s a rest day for surfers in Sydney from the look of it.
The swell models are generally predicting a continuation of the minor conditions until early next week when we may see an uptick into the interesting but not exciting range (think waist plusses at south spots).
Have yourself a top old Wednesday and keep on smilin’!

Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards the northern New South Wales coast, and is directing east to northeasterly winds over most waters. A cold front will bring a southerly change to the south coast this morning, extending to central areas overnight before weakening on the north coast during Thursday. Behind this, a new high pressure ridge looks set to extend across New South Wales from the west, with most coastal areas likely to experience fairly light winds during the latter part of the week.
