Faded away to small but not flat

Hello Friends,

Watching north Curly as I write this and can tell you that as of 0930 there were about 30 people chasing brief chest high sections under sunny skies.
Swell seemed to be s touch bigger at Queensie when I was there 45 minutes ago. Of course it too was pretty damn busy. Hard to really say if all the swell has improved the straight handler problems that have plauged us for so long. I’d say things seem to generally be a little better.
Dee Why point had quite a crew scrambling to snag the occasional chest high set, but mostly it was smaller than that and it wasn’t super consistent either. There seemed to be a few bods up toward the lugga but between there and the point there were only half a dozen folks scattered about chasing what looked to be fat little waist plus peaks. Fingers crossed that when we get some solid SE swell again, those spots will light up on the right tide…
Speaking of tide, today’s low was at 0630 and we’re now coming into a midday high.
Interestingly the Bureau says the swell should pick up a bit from the south and east later today, so what’s marginal now might become fun later…
The latest MHL data is showing 1.2 metres of SSE at 12 seconds.
As for the outlook, well it is Friday, so I refer you to the Goat’s freshly baked weekly forecast.
Have a great day and keep on smilin’!
