Smallness all over

Hello Friends,

Hope you got a few from the last pulse in Sydney because today looks like being very small. At 0400 the MHL buoy was showing 0.7 metres of 9-sec E swell. The 0500 weather at North Head saw light WNW wind. The forecast calls for both wind and swell to stay at about those levels all day. High tide’s at 0700 and you could see a little shower activity late in the day. Tomorrow looks similarly low-energy, plus it’s expected to be properly rainy.
The models are pointing toward flat to near flat until around Sunday when there could be an influx of potentially interesting long period south swell and offshore wind. Some of the models show the swell being in the fun range right up to Wednesday.
Your correspondent has no tales of surfing derring-do to report because it remains unsurfably tiny in Santa Barbara and only marginal within an hour’s drive. Things look a lot more fun from about Malibu south. There’s some waist to chest plus SW swell down that way and the early morning sessions were probably pretty fun. Anyway, I’ve gathered a few postcards from surfline’s cameras since I don’t have any of my own to share…
