A little peak happening on high tide at Northy

Hello Friends,

Light west to NW breezes to greet a sunny, clear-skied Saturday morning in Sydney. Swell’s down from yesterday but as of 0400 was still 1.5 metres at 10 seconds from the SSE. Tide was coming into the high at 0815 when I did my circuit ahead of the usual 702 ABC report and most places were too small to surf. However there was a small (waist and a bit) peak up at Northy and nothing else from there south to Makaha. Around at the Longy to Dee Why stretch – as you can see from the pictures – there were a reasonable number of fat looking but definitely surfable waist to chest peaks.
The MHL forecast model is back online and it’s calling for the swell to gradually fade across the day as it swings to the east and the average period decreases. Wind’s going to go NE and it’ll be a summery (and therefore junk-inducing) 15-25 kts after lunch.
So, get in ASAP because the next week isn’t looking too amazing
Have a great Saturday!
