"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Hello Friends,
Had a chance to be in Dee Why before report writing time, so a few extra pictures for you this morning. Conditions were beautiful too. Light offshores, waist to shoulder high faces (it’s SSE 1.5m at 10 sec), sunny skies… pretty busy, but not crazily so and I reckon it could be better after the 1.47m high tide at 0830 because it was very full looking everywhere. The point and Longy were particularly affected for instance.
Should be sunny all day but this morning’s offshores are set to give way to 10-15 kts of southerly. Oh, and the Bureau says the swell’s going to fade as well…
So get on it asap is my advice.

Breaking right on the sand at South Narra

Lotsa of lines but not all of them turn into surfable waves at Longy

Dee Why beach busy, full but there are waves 0740

Tide too high for the point at 0740

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system lies over southeast Australia, while a low over the southern Tasman sea is progressing eastwards. This pattern is bringing a southerly airstream to the New South Wales coast. The high will be eroded somewhat during today or Friday as a cold front passes to the south, with the wind turning more southeasterly by Friday as a result. A trough will then build near the coast during the weekend, bringing more variable winds.
