Manly for the win

Hello Friends,

Did the Manly-DY run this am and can report that as of 0900 the best waves were along a stretch from North to Mid-Steyne in Manly. Curly had only a couple stalwarts chasing lumpy shutdowns at the south end, while out in front of the SLSC at Dee Why 30 or so people tried mightily to get into a waves in what was a rip-affected complex of left and right peaks. Wave faces at Manly were as the pics show in the chest to head and a bit range, while at Dee Why they were a bit smaller. Water looked pretty suss too and there’s more rain on the way. Surface conditions as you can see were pretty smooth although there was a fair amount of lump around too. Things weren’t being helped by the 1.4m high tide at 0805. It’s back to low at 1345.
Outlook, well, it is Friday, so the Goat should be along with a few thoughts soon..but wind is set to kick in from the SE soon, so if you’re going, you’d best be on your way.
Have a great day one and all!
