Tiny lines again

Hello Friends,

Fog over the Harbour and the Hawkesbury this morning but clear skies along the beaches with light offshore wind at 0830. MHL’s buoy data is still off the air, so going by the look of it, I’d say the Bureau’s call for a metre of east looks about right where Dee Why’s concerned. Sets are infrequent and when they arrive you’re looking at about waist and a bit along the beach and knee to maybe waist on the biggest at the point. Checking out the WRL picture from south Narrabeen (see below), it looks pretty small, maybe unsurfably so, but it is clean. Tide was low at 0410 and is now running into a 1.3m high at 1005. Wind should be NW-SW and lightish until late when we should see a swing to the south – where it’ll stay for at least the next couple of days.
Outlook is for conditions to remain weak and small through next weekend. But next Monday is looking interesting on several of the models… that’s a long way out, so I’m just putting it in the fond hope box for now.
Have yourself a great Monday everyone!

Weather Situation
A slow-moving high pressure system over South Australia is extending a ridge to the eastern Tasman Sea where another high is developing, while a low pressure trough lies off the New South Wales north coast. These systems are directing south to southeasterly winds over the waters and are expected to persist and be very slow moving over the next several days. The trough is expected to deepen a little on Monday and Tuesday, possibly forming a low, and bringing stronger winds to the far northern waters.
