"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

If you’re really keen

Hello Friends,
Yep. Still micro to flat along the beaches on this sunny and lightly offshore morning.
On the good side, the metre of SSE swell period was close to 14 seconds so that should mean optimally aligned peaks are seeing the occasional waist high bomb. But for the most part, long stretches of the beach are too tiny to surf. Tide hits a 1.4 m high at 0900 and it should be sunny all day.
The models are pretty much all showing the conditions remaining flat to barely there for another couple of days. However the Bureau’s telling us we could see a slight pick up from the south tomorrow afternoon. The question is, what will the period be? If it’s under 10 seconds, it’ll pretty much be flat most places.
The long range forecasts don’t have much of interest at the moment. It looks like the swell is coming around from the southern ocean but going well wide of the east coast and smacking into the west coasts of NZ…
Ah well, waiting is part of surfing, so I guess we’ll wait!
