"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

We’re waiting Huey

Hello Friends,

Another breezy and chilly morning along the beaches this morning. The MHL buoy is showing less than a metre of 14-sec SSE swell at sea, but it’s not translating into surf at Dee Why. Not that it matters, but tide will hit a 1.4m high at 0940.
The Bureau expects the swell to bump up to around 1.5 metres this afternoon but it looks like being short period wind bump rather than anything you could surf.
Have to say I’m not overjoyed with this morning’s run of the models. If the majority are correct, we’re not coming out of this flat spell for another week – at least. Not good for what is usually our most productive surf month.
It’ll come good sooner or later, so in the meantime have yourself a top old Tuesday.

Beautiful but flat at Dee Why point this morning

Weather Situation
A strengthening high pressure system lies over southeast Australia, which resulted in light winds over New South Wales waters yesterday. Southerly winds will increase during today as the remnants of a cold front move along the coast, weakening again on Wednesday and gradually shifting northerly as the high moves to the southern Tasman Sea. The next cold front looks set to affect the region at the end of the week.
