"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Hello Friends,
Wind was light WSW as Saturday started. Tide was dropping to the low at 1010 and there were still some showers about on a chilly morning. We can expect more precipitation across the day as we head to a high of 19C. Swell at sea was 1.6 m at 11 seconds from the ESE.  It was comparatively clean, if a bit crunchy due to the tide. Size ranged from chest to shoulder at best exposures to waist to chest pretty much everywhere else. The wind is set to be SE 10-15kts later, so if you can deal with the chill, earlier is definitely going to offer more options. One consideration though… yesterday beachwatch was warning that most beaches had suss to poor quality water. We’ve had more rain since then too.

The ESE wind regime is set to hang around for the next few days, but there should still be surf prospects. Nothing huge, but a look around should turn you up something…

Have a great Saturday!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system is centred over southeast Australia while a low pressure trough lingers off the northern New South Wales coast. This pattern is directing south to southeasterly winds across New South Wales waters which are expected to gradually tend east to northeasterly into the new week as the high moves east to be centred over the Tasman Sea while cold fronts slip well to the south. The next cold front likely to affect New South Wales is expected during the second half of next week.
