Sunny and tiny again

Hello Friends,

A nice morning along the beaches, but the waves have weakened a bit more overnight and it looked to be only just into the surfable range along the beach. Figure around the waist high mark on standouts. And of course we still have the very high ratio of shutdowns to makeable sections.

Surface conditions were smooth and out at sea swell was a metre at 11 seconds from the ESE. Wind at 0830 was west at 5-6 secs. Tide was high at 0600 and will be back to low at 1205. Should be mainly sunny today with a high of 22. Ocean temp is still a balmy 21C.

Outlook is for the waves to maybe perk up a bit tomorrow, but it doesn’t seem likely to be a dramatic improvement. We might see more bump on Friday from the look of the models, however the average periods are projected to be in the 7-9 second range, so we can’t expect anything dramatic in the way of juice. On the other hand, Saturday onward is currently shaping to be (potentially) interesting as both the size and period bump up with the arrival of a south swell.  Fingers crossed.

Go well with your day!
