Hello Friends,
Glassy and knee to waist high at the beach this morning. There were a few folks in the water at the point, waiting for the occasional set to come through. Wind was out of the west at 8-9 kts under mostly cloudy and rainy looking skies. Out at sea the swell is dead south with heights around the two metre mark and average periods about 7-8 seconds. Yesterday’s longer period meant the shutdown to good one ratio was about 10 to 1 at Dee Why beach. So, maybe with the shorter period it’ll be a little more peaky, if somewhat less juicy.

Weather Situation
A near-stationary low pressure trough currently lies just off the New South Wales coast. This trough will decay later today and Saturday as a high strengthens over the Tasman Sea. This will direct increasing northerly winds over New South Wales waters, before a cold front brings a west to southwesterly change on Sunday.
