Stiff onshores

Hello Friends,

15-20 kts of southerly under partly cloudy skies as Monday kicked off. As the pictures show, conditions are very junky at Dee Why. Swell is 3 metres from 130° at 10 seconds, so there’s definitely some size. Tide is coming into a high of 1.7m at 1000. Today’s high is set to be 22C and water is currently on 19C, but after all the rain, the quality is dodgy from Northy to Manly. Given the messy conditions, it’ll be easy to sit it out and hope for cleaner conditions tomorrow morning… beyond that the models are indicating adequate energy levels but variable levels of junk-inducing wind.

Have a top old Monday everyone!

Weather Situation
A low pressure system over the central Tasman Sea is moving slowly east whilst a high pressure system to the west of Tasmania extends a ridge across the west, producing vigorous southerly stream along the NSW coast early today. The winds should gradually ease later today and tomorrow as the low moves further offshore and the ridge of high pressure becomes a dominant feature across the state. The next cold front is expected to reach the far south coast late Wednesday then to extend north on Thursday.
