Hello Friends,
That turned out well for early risers. Offshore wind all night had groomed the 2 metre 11-second ESE swell nicely. I rode the eBike down to Narrabeen to wave signs for Independent Mackellar candidate Sophie Scamp – along with 40 other volunteers during rush hour. A good vibe and lots of positive responses from drivers too. Afterward, I zipped over for a look at the Narrabeen to Surfrider Gardens stretch. Swell was solid head to 1.5x overhead on the sets. As usual, only a small percentage were makeable, but those that were essentially guaranteed a deep one. Swell was much softer and smaller down at Collaroy. Around at Long Reef, the waves were a similar size, but quite disorganised and random. One person paddled out, but ended up not getting anything. I didn’t cycle down to the Dee Why end, but it looked to be head high out in front of the club.
It’s Thursday, so I’m keeping an eye on the email inbox for the Goat’s surf forecast… will he be as hopeful for the front end of next week as I am, I wonder…
Have a top old Thursday everyone!
