"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Sunny and zippo

Hello Friends,

Beautiful morning as Monday kicked off, but no surfable waves were detectable.

However… the Bureau tells us (see below) that wind will pick up as a south pulse gradually begins to fill in this afternoon. So possibly worth keeping an eye on things if you’re free for a surf later. And that could be it for the next couple of days as we head into another showery stretch with stiff S-SE wind. This morning’s long range models show the onshore and showery weather lasting right into the weekend.
Go well with your day and stay safe!

Weather Situation

A cold front is crossing the northeast of the state and will clear offshore by early afternoon. Following the cold front a ridge of high pressure will extend across the state from a high south of the Great Australian Bight. This high pressure system will continue to move east during the week, reaching the Tasman Sea on Thursday, maintaining the ridge. This pattern will see a return to south to southeasterly winds about the coast, accompanied by an increasing southerly swell. A trough is expected to deepen over the southern Coral Sea later in the week, and depending on its movement lead to an increase in showers and winds about the east coast.
