Hello Friends,
Showery as Saturday got started. Wind was coming lightly from the west before 0800, so conditions were clean. Unfortunately the swell out at sea the 1.6 m SE swell was only 8 seconds apart. Plus the tide was coming into at 0820. So set wave faces were in the waist high range – and they weren’t easy to catch from the look of it.
Outlook is for the waves to stay about the same size all day, so take your floatiest surf toy and I’m sure you’ll get something.
The coming week is not terribly exciting looking. In fact it looks like being close to flat until mid-week before possibly coming up into the barely surfable range.
Anyway, have a great Saturday everyone and go well!
Weather Situation
South to southeasterly winds will slowly turn northeasterly today as a high pressure system drifts eastwards over the southern Tasman Sea. Northerly winds are expected to increase on Sunday and Monday, and then shift southwesterly on Tuesday, as a trough approaches and then crosses the state.
