The Goat’s Surf Forecast and New Year’s Message

Surf Forecast issued Friday 29 December 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney

Surf Outlook

Surf wasn’t great today. In fact it looked pretty ordinary earlier on, but there was a definite improvement late in the day at some places, after the wind had tried East, South East, East, then settled on North East.

More unsettled weather winds and waves to come, with nothing apparent that stands out as outstanding.

So just chill out and go with the flow ~~~~

Pretty sunset beneath the dark clouds… Oh wow… TG stops typing and starts jabbering…silvers and golds, purples, mauves, white, blue sky, magentas (what colour is magenta?), hints of pinks, reds, and still golds and silvers… and it’s changing all the time as the sun keeps going further under the ground. And now bright orange, and now brighter reddish orange. Hey this is great. And it’s free! And now the big heavy dark black curtains are slowing being lowered down, closing the spectacular show.

You can have your Northern Lights and Southern Auroras.. Nothing wrong with a good Sydney Sunset.

Back to the keyboard…

Saturday: somewhere in the 1-2 metre range at places open to dead South..coming up a bit through the day with the wind behind it.

Sunday:  1-2 metres possibly 2 + metres at places open to dead South

Monday: going down through the 102 metre range at dead South spots

Tuesday: lower end of the 1-2 metre range South East

Wednesday: ditto South/ East

Thursday: dittoish East

Friday: hmm ditto dotto.
