Back to tiny again

Hello Friends,

A warm and sunny start for Thursday, but our swell has faded away. Swell was coming from the SSE and was about 1.5 metres  at 13 seconds. So, while Dee Why’s not doing much, I’d expect to find a few fun ones at the south exposures. Tide was a high 1.74 m at 0625 and is currently running out to the 0.4 m low at 1320. Wind should be pretty mellow this morning (it was calm at 0800) and it looks like following a summery pattern of turning NE as the day goes along and getting into the 10-15kt range. Water is 24 and we should see a high of 28 later.

I’m keen to see what the Goat has to say about our prospects for the coming surf week. A quick glance at the models suggests that it won’t be big, but with luck it won’t be completely flat either.

Check back later to see what he has to say, and however it plays out, best wishes for a great Thursday!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge along the New South Wales coast while a cold front passes to the south, leaving behind a trough that will cross the southern half of New South Wales coast as a fresh southerly wind change today. The trough will decay during the latter part of the week as another high pressure system enters the Tasman Sea by Friday and becomes slow moving, with very little change of weather pattern through the weekend and early new week.
