"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Tiny Friday morning

Hello Friends,

Wind was 5-6 kts from the SW as of 0830 and swell at sea was 1.2 metres from the south-east at 11 seconds according to the MHL data from 0700. Dee Why wasn’t showing much of anything surfwise. You might be able to putt along for a few metres on a knee-high thing if you have the right gear. But for most surfers it’s a day for other things where Dee Why’s concerned. That said, there should be some waist plusses at Curly and other south swell magnets.

Another warm day coming up in what promises to be a week of similar daily highs. It’s not too surprising given that Sydney just had its third hottest summer  on record. Fun fact: you were alive for the hottest (2016-2017) and ditto for #2 if you’re 33.

As for the surf week ahead, the Mighty Goat has gazed upon the portents and has pronounced upon our possibilities.
Have a good one!
