The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 18 April 2024: Seven day outlook for Sydney

Well I suppose it had to happen sometime, lamented TG… The change of season time has started to bring cooler weather, more showers and some dullness to proceedings. Water temp is around the air temp or better at times, but a cool breeze doesn’t make the choppy sea conditions look inviting.

It had also taken a while .. prior to the latest rain… for the water to stop smelling and look discoloured from the Hawkesbury River pushing out and spreading itself around at the northern end of the northern beaches. Now… hmm???

And TG couldn’t believe it …After last week’s forecast, reminding people to “Stay Safe… Know your limitations and surfing experience”, he found himself talking to Don Realsurf (not his Real name) in Northern Beaches Hospital after he bounced around off several DY Point rocks, with a camera in his hand..

Seriously!? .. Do I have to now specify the possibility that you might get it in your head to jump off rocks in large surf with a camera in your hand to take photos of complete strangers!??

I hope you’ve learned your lesson young man! (And rest up and take it easy :)).

The Surf Outlook  out ahead looks like this >>

Friday: around 1 – 1+metres at dead South spots

Saturday: up a little with southerly type wind somewhere in the 1-2 metre range dead South

Sunday: down a little, somewhere in the 1-2 metre range dead South

Monday: around 1- 1+ metres dead South

Tuesday: dittoish

Wednesday: ditto North East

Thursday: starting to come up with southerly type wind, say 1-2 metres dead South.

Make of that what you will.

The kids on school holidays will have still fun.

TG.
