Arvo update: Curly and Dee Why

Saw Curly late this morning and can report that it was well occupied. However, while it was glassy and there were waves, folks were doing a lot of waiting around and the sets weren’t much above the chest high mark while I watched. Over the hill at Dee Why the swell seemed to be doing a bit more. The point wasn’t particularly crowded and the beachy was even less so. Still it was tempting enough that I blew off various chores and got wet. From the look of the MHL data, the energy levels actually improved whilst I was out. The average period of the two metre south swell went from 9 up to 11 seconds. It was rather setty during my go out and the angle was just not quite right for the point. We were all getting fun ones and it stayed glassy too, so not exactly a waste of time.

One can never say for sure, but I reckon that there should be waves at south spots right through to dark. It’s definitely worth a quick check. Water’s still beeyooteefull too! From the shape of the forecast we might still have some of this for tomorrow morning’s early risers.

Go well one and all.
