Hello Friends,

Another day dawns with no real prospect of a decent wave at Dee Why – or anywhere else in Sydney. The MHL buoy was picking up 0.7 metres of 14-sec SE swell at 0600. Tide was high at 0645, so maybe as it drops to the low at 1225, the odd peak suitable for a mal or similar will appear at optimally angled stretches. Wind’s are expected to be N-NW 20-25 kts later, so that probably won’t help prospects.

Tomorrow doesn’t look all that hopeful, but the models are showing the possibility of a little uptick on Friday afternoon. But I reckon waist high on the big ones will be a good result.

Keep on smilin’, the waves always return!

Little update for you… grabbed a couple snaps on my morning Manly run. Definitely some mal-able ones, but they were very soft looking.

Weather Situation
A northwesterly flow across the New South Wales coastal waters will strengthen ahead of a vigorous west to southwest change with the passage of a cold front late tonight. A developing low over the Tasman Sea associated with the cold front will maintain the vigorous southwest flow for much of Thursday, particularly over the southern half before high pressure moves into New South Wales on Friday, moderating the winds.
