"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Messy morning at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

The pictures tell the story. As of 0730 wind was out of the east at 4-8 kts, swell at sea was 2 metres from the ESE at just 7 seconds apart, and skies were partly cloudy with showers visible out to sea. As you can see, it was choppy and junky and unappetizing at Dee Why. Again, you’d have to be very keen to get out amongst it. The wind’s set to swing to the SE and get into the 15-20 kt range as the day goes along, so no real prospect of an improvement there.

While we’ll have waves similar to today’s conditions for the next few days, the wind is going to stay out of the east to SE. And while we heave a 60% chance of showers today, tomorrow and Thursday the call is for a 90% chance of rain. Surprisingly, Beachwatch rates water quality away from lagoon entrances as suitable for swimming – not that you’d really want to give all the chop.

Have a good one!
