Setty but waves for Weds morning

Hello Friends,

Clear skies, light offshores, a dropping tide and 2.5 metres of 10-sec SE swell were adding up to shoulder to head high bomb sets at the point and along the beach as of 0630 this morning. The dawn patrol was throwing some numbers at the point where it seemed to be kind of pulse-y when I watched (longish and waveless lulls). The beach was more consistent, but the banks continue to be barely evident – ie way more shutdowns than makeable ones.
The Bureau says we can expect the wind to move SW and then southerly this afternoon. So, the morning is definitely the plan. Tide’ll be low at 1120 and it should be sunny all day.
The outlook is for the wind to be southerly tomorrow morning and then SE later. So, not the greatest. Although the swell should still be pushing along at a similar intensity to now. Oh, and there’s a 40% chance of showers too.
On current reckoning, there could still be some wave energy left for Friday (my guess is waist-ish), but the trend on the models is not good thereafter. Could be another longish spring lull if the various models have it right.
So, get in if you can – and if you can’t, have a great day anyway!
