It’s a micro Monday at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Not much of anything to report at Dee Why this morning. A beautiful morning, with a touch of cool in the air at 0700 but the Bureau says we’re headed to 24 later. Wind was out of the NW when I climbed up to the crows nest for the pictures. It’s due to come around to the NE and be a summery 15-20 kts.
There’s not much of anything showing on the MHL buoy off Sydney this morning. A mix of short period stuff is showing from the ESE and some smaller 10-sec stuff from the SE. But it’s not adding up to anything surfable at the Dee Why end of the beach.
The models aren’t too hopeful this morning. They’re generally pointing to a south pulse midweek, but it’s not looking spectacular. If we’re lucky and the more optimistic interpretations come to pass, we might get some waist to chest stuff at south magnets from late Tuesday. The problem will be the wind settings which for some days have been shaping for southerlies by Wednesday.
So, off we go, into a fresh week – keep on smilin’!
