Sunday showery, lumpy and bumpy and busy

Hello Friends,

As foretold by the models, we had more favourable wind settings for Sunday’s first session. Swell was still close to the 2.5 metre mark out at sea with an okay period of nearly 10 seconds as of 0600. Skies were overcast and showers were rolling through at regular intervals. Beachwatch hasn’t posted today’s pollution assessment yet, but if things haven’t changed much since yesterday’s water is questionable at Collaroy and Longy but okay at Dee Why. North Curly and Freshy to Manly weren’t looking good.
Dee Why was pretty busy too. Tide was high at 0710 and yet the waves weren’t horribly fat looking. Not great maybe, but definitely a few shoulder plus wave faces in the mix along the beach and around a third smaller and less consistent at the point. Lotsa people in the water too.
Wind is expected to swing south before long and the swell should hang in there at around the current intensity through the day. Tomorrow should see less rain, less wind and only slightly less wave energy. Tuesday looks smaller again as we head toward what the models tell us could be an extended period of spring tininess.
Have yourself a great Sunday one and all!
