Update Friday
The second Low is now expected to do something else so slight change for later in the week …
The aftereffects of the Low pressure system that’s now moved out into the Tasman will be still arriving from down the coast for a few days yet. With light offshore winds forecast for some days, there may be some good conditions for the keen ones. The surf should gradually ease back through the week..
Saturday: around 2-3 metres South East.. bigger if it turns East South East
Sunday: around 2 metres East South East
Monday: 1-2 metre range North East, and some sets from the East South East
Tuesday: back down to around 1 metre or so
Wednesday: similar
Thursday: similar again
Friday: and again until much later at night when there’l be small waves coming up from South
Surf forecast issued Thursday 7 July 2016: Seven day outlook for Sydney:
A bit of a breeze pops up and up she comes… currently around 4-6 metres offshore but not all of that is coming in, at least not at the moment. The aftereffects will be still arriving from down the coast for a few days yet, and with some days of light slightly offshore winds forecast, there may be some good conditions for the keen ones. Gradually easing back until Wednesday when a new lot of waves will arrive from the South again, as another Low makes its way across the Great Australian Bight and out into the Tasman…
Size… hard to call, but let’s say
Friday: around 2-3 metres South South East.. bigger if it turns East South East
Saturday: let’s call it the same for convenience
Sunday: 2-2+ metres East South East, and sets with some oomph
Monday: 1-2 metre range North East, along with sets from the East South East
Tuesday: blown back down by WNW wind to say around 1 metre or so
Wednesday: coming up again at dead South spots, say 2-3 metres
Thursday: similar.
