Wednesday morning picture of Dee Why showing tiny waves

Clean and tiny but surfable with the right equipment

Hello Friends,

Another beautiful morning along the beaches and, wonder of wonders, there were a few little longboardable knee high sets to be had at Dee Why. Wind was a light 5 kt WNW and out at sea the swell was 0.7 m from 106° at 11 seconds. Tide was coming off the 0.5 m low at 0635 and heading to a moderate 1.3 m high at 1240.

Weather call is for a 70% chance of showers late this afternoon. Wind’s going to pick up too and by the time the raindrops arrive, it should be in the 15-20 kt range from the N-NE.

Swell looks like drifting around to the E by ESE tomorrow and to possibly come up a touch with it. That said, I’m not expecting anything terribly exciting. It should be another sunny day with little waves though.

A south pulse has been on the cards for the weekend for a few days now and this morning’s modelling predicts that it may get seriously big (as in 4-5 metres at 10-12 seconds). Unfortunately it also promises to be accompanied by 20-30+ kts of southerly wind with cloudy and showery weather through to Monday.

Have a top old Wednesday everyone!

This knee high set wave ran a long way
