Friday and waves to be had at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Heaps of waves to be had at Dee Why this morning. And heaps of people having them too. Surface conditions were nice and smooth thanks to a 10-15 kt westerly breeze. Skies were clear as a 1.8 metre, 10-second period SE swell (165°) delivered chest to head high sets. The banks look pretty ordinary it has to be said, so the shutdown to makeable ratio wasn’t good. The point was seeing the odd set too, but the angle/period wasn’t quite doing it. Beachwatch is reporting clean water with a temp of 19C.

Next tide is a 0.5m low at 1220. Weather should stay sunny all day as we head to a high of 20C.

Surf prospects you say? Well, the mighty Goat has been hard at work on your behalf, so jump on over and check out his predictions for the week ahead.

Take the mask if you’re heading out the door and have a great day!
