A bit of NE windswell for the early

Hello Friends,

NE magnets were delivering soft but rideable waist to chest high waves as Saturday kicked off in sunny style. It looked to be a bit of a wait between rideable ones too. Wind blew all night and was 6-9 kts at 0700. It’ll get up to 15-20 kts as the day goes along. The Bureau tells us the 1.5 m 10-sec NE wind swell will weaken at the same time. Tide hits a 1.96 m high at 0950 and weather should be partly cloudy with the odd drop of rain possible as we get to a high of 26C. Water temp is on 20C.

The weather looks like being rainier for the next few days and swell’s set to stay tiny on Sunday but to pick up again a little on Monday. The week ahead should see small but catchable opportunities here and there, but nothing much above the chest high mark seems in prospect.

Go well folks and have a top old Saturday.

Weather Situation

A ridge of high pressure over the Tasman Sea extends north into the Coral Sea with a north to northeasterly airstream on the New South Wales coast and a broad trough of low pressure over the inland. A more vigorous trough will enter the southwest of the state today before moving slowly across the east. The trough is expected to move through the southern half of the coast during Sunday and the remainder during Monday, bringing a southerly wind change.
