At close of play last night there were still head plus sets at the point. However it was chopped up by a crossshore wind so almost no one was in the water. This morning saw a much reduced swell. You know it’s marginal when people are ekeing out little slides on ankle to knee high waves. I decided to watch while having my bowl of fruit and museli. In 15 minutes there were maybe two sets that got into the waist plus range at the top of the point where a healthy crowd were waiting to pounce.
With wind and rain in the forecast and a long drive home on my agenda, I ended up grabbing a few snaps to share and then pointed the Tesla southward. BTW, the humidity was at greenhouse levels for my whole stay, but I slept soundly with the car in camping mode (climate adjusted to perfect sleeping temp, and with the seats down it was actually spacious enough to stretch out.) I splurged on superchargers for most of the trip, so my total “fuel”bill was a shade under 40 bucks. Gotta love EVs.
