Big stuff fading away but fun size remains

Hello Friends,

The big stuff is gone and we’re back to 1.6m of 12-sec swell from 160° (SSE) which was delivering the occasional chest high set at the point. It was a bit bigger along the beach. Wind was W-WNW in the 7-10 kt range when I grabbed the pics a little after 0900. Tide was high at 0850 and will be back to low at 1445. Weather promises to be sunny with a high of 19C. Ocean’s clean and 20C.

Surf prospects, while smaller tomorrow, look like being pretty reasonable well into next week with waves at the south magnets in the waist to shoulder plus range.

Have a great day one and all!

Weather Situation

A low pressure system approaching western Victoria is forecast to cross Bass Strait today and tomorrow, with its associated trough crossing the southern inland. This will cause west to northwesterly winds to freshen across the southern waters over the next day or two, and then shift southerly on Friday. Meanwhile, powerful swells are likely to persist for the coming days.
