Friday surfin’ prospects looking ok

Hello Friends,

Swell’s gone dead south this morning but being 1.7 metres and packing an 11 second period, there were chest plus sets at the point and closer to shoulder plus along the beach (but mostly shutting down). Skies were partly cloudy and the wind was coming lightly from the west as of 0730. The wind should stay benign and the Bureau tells us that the swell should bump up too. Tide was high at 0630 and will drain out to the 0.5 m low at 1225.
The Bureau says the swell will dial back a little overnight, but right now it looks to me as though Saturday morning at south magnets could not wildly dissimilar to today’s offerings. Plus the wind should be light and offshore for the early. Sunday through Tuesday are not looking so great as the models show the wind going onshore as it clouds over and gets showery for most of the work week.
Wondering where the Goat’s got off to this week? This mysterious postcard arrived late yesterday…

Guess where? -Goat

Have a great Friday everyone!
