The Goat’s Surf Forecast

Surf forecast issued Thursday 27 July 2023: Seven day outlook for Sydney

TG lives in his own little world.. in his head.. at times.

I said OK what’s it look like? And he replied without too much thought:

In a Word>>>

Weatherlooksnicewaveslooksmallbutcouldbeokforfunattimes.

Hmm.. I suggested perhaps he might elaborate a little on this long word…So he started talking slowly at me:

The Weather looks like it should be nice,

The surf outlook is for wave size to ease back from tomorrow onwards at those places where the long period dead South swell has been refracting around into, even though going down,

But, there could still be small fun waves around from time to time in the lighter wind conditions that are expected, depending on the tides!

Then he stood there looking defiant like a petulant child. Sigh.. It’s like extracting teeth sometimes, when he doesn’t feel like doing something.

Friday: easing back from today, 1-1+ metres at dead South places down to 1 metre or so

Saturday: arond 1 metre or so more or less dead South

Sunday: ditto more like less

Monday: ditto South South East

Tuesday: ditto and less with South South West swell

Wednesday: starting to come up a little say1 metre or more dead South

Thursday: could be in the 1-2 metre range at dead South spots.

Be good. Be happy with what you’ve got. Have fun!
