"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Not much going on this morning

Hello Friends,

Looked pretty quiet at Dee Why as of 0800. There were a few people in the water, but catchable ones seemed to be few and far between. Wind was 7-11 kts from the NNW at 0730 and the MHL buoy was detecting 1.2 metres of 13-second S-SE swell – a touch under where we left things yesterday evening. There could be a few more showers this morning, and the wind will be ramping up during the day. Unfortunately, the swell settings don’t look like changing until after dark.
Saturday and Sunday are another matter. The Bureau says we can expect a strong south pulse tomorrow morning along with SW wind and clear skies. According to the models, the energy should stick around into Sunday as well.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Weather Situation

North to northwesterly winds continue across the NSW coastal waters this morning as a high pressure system continues to move eastwards across the Tasman Sea. A cold front will then move across the region today bringing strengthening westerly winds, before shifting southwesterly from the south during today and Saturday before easing by Sunday. Another high will influence the region from Sunday, with fresh northerly winds returning in the new week.
