"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Still micro at Dee Why

Hello Friends,

Another day of puniness folks – which is hardly surprising given that the MHL buoy was only detecting 0.8 m of 12-sec south energy as of 0600. The Bureau tells us that we can expect the WNW wind we were seeing at 0730 to swing SE late this morning and by this evening the south swell should pick up a bit. But then tomorrow the wind is set to blow from the southern quarters and it doesn’t look great. That said, the Goat should be along later today with his wise thoughts on our surf prospects. I’ve got my hopes pinned on Sunday or Monday morning…

Go well with your Thursday!

Weather Situation

A high pressure system near New Zealand is directing a northerly airstream along the northern New South Wales coast, while a cold front is bringing a southerly change to central and southern coasts. This change will reach Sydney early this morning and the northern border area by tonight. Southerly winds will be reinforced during Friday as a low develops over the Tasman Sea and a new high approaches from the west. Winds will ease during the weekend as the high moves to the Tasman Sea, bringing a return to northerly winds at the start of the new week.
