Hello Friends,
As of 0100 swell was SE at about 8 seconds apart and maybe a metre offshore at the MHL buoy.Next tide is a high at about 0950.
Although Saturday looks like being about as small as it gets for the next week in Sydney, it’s not likely to pick up much at all tomorrow or even Monday. Maybe from late Tuesday the swell will start pushing up into the shoulder plus range from the south and east. Unfortunately the wind looks like being mainly south on Wednesday, so options look limited. Thursday and Friday should see the swell sticking around at a reasonable shoulder plus size and the wind could start coming more from the North to NE.
Today’s postcard is a shot of a famous San Diego county surf spot called Swami’s. Even though it was just about flat, little sets would turn up every now and then. Any surfer looking at the set up can see the potential!
Here’s the marine forecast.
Weather Situation
A weak high pressure system lies over the Tasman Sea. Northerly winds along southern half of New South Wales coast will increase during Saturday ahead of the southerly change associated with a cold front developing the far south in the evening. This change will slow on the central coast Sunday morning and it is expected to reach the far north coast Tuesday night.
