"Stay happy and you'll be perfectly fine" - Jack Norris

Tuesday wrap and speculation

Hello Friends,

Interesting day. Was cleanest and biggest this morning, then the wind came up mid-morning, but backed off from around 1100-1230. I surfed Longy bombies. Not fabulous (see pic below) but there were a couple head high ones and a few longish rides. Definitely worth the effort. Came in and went down the other end of the beach and paddled out at a micro point. However, once every 10 minutes or so a rideable one came in and I caught my share (not hard because at one point I was all by myself, looking in at a crowded beach under beautiful sunny skies).

About 1300 the wind got going and it’s made the whole southern end of the beach pretty messy. However, the MHL buoy is showing the swell as perking up again just as we head into the night time hours.

And, what’s extra groovy is that the Bureau has revised their call and now are lining up with the models and saying we should get an increasing south swell for tomorrow morning along with breezes out of the westerly quarters for the early. Then the wind’s set to swing around to the easterly quarters in the afternoon (ie seabreeze stuff).

Oh, and if that wasn’t good enough, it’ll be low tide coming in for the early crew. Quite the combo. Reckon I might have an early one tonight…

Swell at close of play is showing 3 metres @ 10 seconds from the south.
