Blasting offshores blasting it flat

Hello Friends,

Not much to say about surfing prospects for today. As anyone who’s looked out a window or stepped outside in Sydney knows, the wind is blowing hard from the NW and there is essentially no incoming swell. The Bureau says we can expect the westerlies to carry on in this vein until Thursday.

This morning’s run of the models are showing a very interesting set of prospects. As the Goat predicted late last week, some of the model interpretations are showing a small south pulse tomorrow. By small, it might just get into the waist high range give or take.

A second pulse (and this one has been in the forecasts for a few days now) is a good possibility from overnight Thursday and into Friday. Size could be in the chest to head high plus range at south swell spots. It then is predicted to back off a touch on Saturday before coming back a bit stronger on Sunday. The current round of very long range guesstimates show a lull around Monday (but not going flat) and then another, even bigger pulse.

The models typically exaggerate our prospects as they get further out, but who minds seeing silly big numbers like 4-5 metres at 12 seconds in a forecast? 😉

Best wishes for a top old day to you and yours!
