Some small activity for Monday

Short ones Cruiser

Hello Friends,

Another in a succession of sunny, chilly mornings with small waves. The primary direction is NE and the swell at sea is around 1.4 metres with an average period of 12 seconds. Not the ideal direction for Dee Why, but definitely do-able on the sets. Biggest wave I saw was around the waist high mark in the beachy. The point was sort of showing sets, and a couple of people were chasing them, but with no success while I watched.

NE spots will be the go obviously.

Wind is set to be comparatively light (10-15kts) from the NW this morning before going northerly later.

Tide was low at 0705 and will hit the high at 1330.

So, the earlier you can go, the better.

Tomorrow the Bureau tells us we’ll be drifting into a southerly pattern which should persist into Wednesday. With luck the southerly will mostly blow overnight and it’ll be back to SW  on Weds.

The forecast models have brightened a little for late in the week. They’re showing a mix of east and SE swell and offshores for late Thursday into Friday and perhaps Saturday.

Go well!
