Lazy Sunday smallness

Set wave

Lookin' tiny and full

Hello Friends,

Lovely morning, shame about a) the high tide and b) the low swell. We have about a metre of mainly east 8 second period wind swell dribbling in pretty much up and down the NSW coast. Exposed spots should deliver little catchable things as the tide drops but we’re looking at another warm summery day in early spring, so expect NE’ly sea breezes this afternoon.

I’m looking around for any hint of surf energy in the long range swell forecast models this morning and I have to say, there’s really not much of anything in prospect for the east coast. We might get the odd dribble of something faintly surfable in the morning midweek and then maybe another feeble little uptick at the end of the week. If you really want a wave, head down Vicco way I’d say.

Huey’s not helping out on the crowdfunding effort (surf site traffic always fades when there’s no swell), so I’ll have to keep working hard to persuade all of you who’ve been hanging back for the last month or so that you need to get on board. The good folks at the Perfect Wave have jumped in with sponsorship size pledge (that’s in addition to their usual ad spend), so I’ve given them a background ad for the remainder of the campaign. If you’re in the market for a trip, they’re pretty obviously the place to go.

Huge thanks to all who’ve jumped in with a pledge and super strong “you know you should, you know you’ve been meaning to…” guilt rays to all of you who are going to be part of it just any time now! 🙂

Go well with your Sunday, and keep on smilin’ through.
