Swell still going this morning

Hello Friends,

One more day of solid swell and at 0715 it was firing up nicely at Dee Why. The MHL buoy was showing a touch under 2 metres of 13 second SE swell, so it’s definitely down a bit – but still serious. Big crew on it for the glassy conditions under drizzly skies at Dee Why point and along the beach. Speaking of the latter, I saw a couple of nice long lefts when I took the pics, so here’s hoping we’re finally getting a bank or two.

Swell looks likely to gradually decline over the next 24 hours but with luck we’ll still have something for the morning sesh tomorrow. Wind today is looking very reasonable – just light and variable – and the early drizzle should clear up later. Low tide’s at 1015ish but the swing from high to low isn’t too dramatic, so no need to be too concerned on that front.

Have fun everybody and stay happy!
