Quiet morning along the beaches

Hello Friends,

Highlight of the morning for me was watching a pod of dolphins hanging out at south Curly. As it happened, the little low tide peak down that end of the beach was delivering the biggest waves I saw. Manly was flat at the south end and just barely catchable at Queensy. And the same south end flat, north end barely catchable pattern was at work at both Curly and the Dee Why to Longy stretch.

Swell is coming from the SSE at 12 seconds apart. It’s averaging around a metre out at sea, but apart from that peak at Curly, I didn’t see many wave faces that would’ve measured a metre. Tide was high at 0500 and will hit low at 1100.

The forecast models are showing little of interest for the coming week. That said, there might possibly be a very brief straight south pulse on Wednesday afternoon if the Bureau’s got it right. But apart from that, things look pretty ordinary until at least mid-next week.

Have yourself a great Monday everyone, and keep on smilin’!
