Back on deck in Sydney and waves around but…

Hello Friends,

First full day back in Sydney and shaking off the last wisps of jet lag with a stiff cup of coffee. The ocean looks pretty torn up and sloppy thanks to the 10 kts or so of SE wind. At 0500 the MHL buoy was picking up 2.8 metres of 10-second SE swell along with some small but long period NE component. Dee Why wave faces sure didn’t look like being in the 2.8 metre range – in fact it was more like a third of that.

Tide’s coming off a low at 0630 and the Bureau says the wind will be picking up from the SE as the morning goes along.

I’m going to do a Manly run shortly, so I’ll come back later this morning with another pic or two and some thoughts on the outlook.

Have yourself a great day!
